The morning mist swirls on the River. A soaring
eagle swoops down and claims it breakfast. A mallard
gives a quick call to her ducklings. You feel the
warmth of the sun as it rises above the maple and
towering pines. White throated sparrows sing their
strange song. Midday brings brilliant sun, warm
breezes and a whitetail or two crossing a shallow
stretch. A whip-poor-will’s ethereal song
reminds us evening has fallen and your exploration
must come to an end for this day.
We provide rental canoes, rental
kayaks, and float trip transportation on a scenic,
tranquil stretch of the Wisconsin River. As your
outfitter, we are committed to providing a rewarding,
yet safe outdoor experience for groups and families
seeking to explore the rivers and woods of Northern
Wisconsin. Small groups, pairs and single paddlers
are our specialty, so you can focus on the sights
and sounds of the River, rather than crowds of other
paddlers. We are located in the heart of the American
Legion State Forest, on the Wisconsin River, 5 miles
east of Lake Tomahawk in scenic Northern Wisconsin.

All of our canoe rental and
kayak rental trips are by appointment only.
This is a paddlers’ paradise and the ideal
location to introduce nature lovers of all ages
to the lifelong enjoyment of canoeing and kayaking,
or for the seasoned “river rat” to rejuvenate.
If you are interested in a leisurely stretch of
the Wisconsin River, where eagles soar, osprey fish,
whitetails quench their thirst and an occasional
black bear crosses, then our stretch is for you.
The river flows through a short area of riverside
cottages and undeveloped wetland and forest. We
have a trip suited for anyone - you can get your “feet
wet” for an hour or so or come and spend the
day (six hour trip). We can tailor the amount of
time to the explorer within you! We know outfitting.
We have over 30 years of paddling experience, 20
years on the Wisconsin River in the Northwoods.
Amazing Photo opportunities abound
We are happy to offer trips for photography enthusiasts
using our one-person pontoons. We can go with you
to point out eagle nests, osprey perches, otter
slides and the places where turtles bask and the
wild roses grow!
